Chapter 5

11/10/15

As I wrap up my series of blogs, I want everyone to know what a wonderful experience this adoption journey was.  I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of the adoption agency and my son’s new forever family.

I had my beautiful baby six days ago.  I have been thinking about him a lot, wanting to know the details of how everything went when his forever mama and daddy picked him up.

I could have found out earlier by having my fiancé call Joanne, from the adoption agency, but I wanted to for today when I had a scheduled phone call with Joanne.  I know she has been busy but I wanted to hear it come from her voice.

So, remember how in my last blog I wasn’t saying how I wasn’t sad for me, I was sad for him not having me there at the hospital because I had to go back to jail?  I was even sad about the nurses just doing their job checking on him every once in a while.  Well, I found out today that that he was only by himself for a couple of hours after I left!  It was long enough for his parents to travel to the hospital.  They got a private room and stayed the night with him until he was released the next day.

I swear, me and my baby mama are kindred spirits.  We are so much alike.

I love my new blended family.
