Welcome Readers!
Welcome to our re-designed newsletter! It has been awhile since we last touched base and the Adoption & Family Support Center has been making several changes to our agency. We are so excited to share our new ventures and accomplishments with everyone.
On January 15, 2011 we will be partnering with A Step Ahead Adoption Consultants for our Adoptive Parent Seminar. It will be at the First United Methodist Church and Rooms 312 and 313 (Student Lounge) from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm and admission is free! Contact Us if you would like to reserve your spot.
We have recently created a new Facebook Page for Adoption Competent Professionals. We anticipate that this will be a resource for fellow adoption professionals to network and share information that can enhance each of our contributins to the field of adoption.
Our agency is growing! We recently acquired a satellite office and are now licensed in Flagler County. Angela and Edna have worked in the social services and mental health field in Flagler County for over fifteen years, and we are so pleased to be able to work even more closely with other service providers and clients in Bunnell and Palm Coast. We have also become members of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce. Stay tuned for many more adoption related services and opportunities in our northern counties!
After twenty years as your adoption partner, we are pleased to now add adoption matching and placement services to our adoption practice! Our mission continues to be to empower our clients to define and create the adoption journey that is perfect for them. Our “boutique" approach to adoption is what sets us apart from all the rest.

We are simplifying our paperwork process for our families’ convenience. We will now be sending our forms and packets via e-mail. This has greatly expedited our ability to provide timely services and excellent customer service….always our number 1 goal! Of course, we are still using the Post Office if some of our clients prefer printed copies.
Please take a moment to enjoy our new video collection, created with the incredible talent of several of our wonderful families. Through these videos, we hope to promote adoption and to introduce our adoption family to yours. Take a peak at one of our videos! If you know anyone who is interested in adoption, feel free to share.
Our support group, Placement from Heart has been a labor of love. We are taking the "support" in support group to a whole new level. We had a successful turnout at A Day of Hope, and are still hosting our Diaper Drive in addition to donations for our support group. We rececently set out on a journey of distributing Christmas Presents to our birth families. Although, we didn't have a sleigh or reindeer, the Camry worked out very well! Our group meets once a month, but some women find it hard to attend. We have recently created and confidential way of communicating with our girls in an effort to provide every means of support we can give. This, along with our Facebook Page, this gives the members a safe and secure way to stay connected.
In addition to our Birth Parent Support Group, we are in the process of creating an Adoptive Parent Support Group in Flagler County. We are working out all the logistics and will keep you informed on our progress.
Last May, Angela became a board member of the Florida Adoption Council. She is excited to be a part of this organization and recently re-designed their website and created a Facebook Page for members. We invite you to take a look and educate yourself further on the Florida Adoption Council's mission and role in our adoption community.
