Our story is not an average one or one heard very often however it does show how a family meant to be together will be!

Angela was highly recommended to us through my best friend who adopted a beautiful baby 5 years ago. My first conversation with Angela was full of questions, concerns and “what if’s” however she calmed my fears with all of her knowledge and work with adoptive families and birthmothers. Angela assured me of her belief that her team is there to help us find the baby meant for our family and she would help us in any way she could.

My husband, Ryan & I completed our Home Study with Angela on March 21st and in our conversation asked for her opinion on our next step. We had a few different local adoption agencies in mind however weren’t sure what to do. Angela suggested speaking to an adoption consultant who could help us market our family profile on a nationwide level to open up our options. Little did we know taking these steps would lead us directly to our daughter! We trusted Angela’s recommendation and signed with the adoption consultant shortly after. Ryan and I received 2 adoption cases for review through the consultant and the morning of our second conference call with her, received the adoption case of our daughter, Lilly. We reviewed the background information and requested for our family profile to be submitted for consideration. There was something special about this baby and a feeling of peace filled my heart. The day was Tuesday and on Saturday we received a request to speak with Lilly’ s birthparents, they chose us on Saturday night and we flew to California on Sunday afternoon!

We met our daughter the next day and immediately fell in love. My husband and I requested to adopt a newborn in Florida however were destined to meet our Lilly, a 4 month old baby living in Southern California!

We have been home now for a month and have welcomed all of the joys, fears, diapers and love parenthood brings! Lilly is everything we prayed for and more.

I write this not only to thank Angela, Edna and Elisa for their guidance, support and knowledge through our adoption process but to also show how our children do arrive in ways we may not have ever expected!
